We are happy you want to be a part of Community Supported Agriculture, but we understand this payment model doesn’t work for everyone! We will work with you if you cannot afford the suggested amount, whether by reducing the initial payment, allowing for any payment schedule, or subsidizing your share. We will not turn anyone away due to cost. Here is what we are doing to make sure anyone can eat with us:
We accept SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits or EBT). If you have SNAP benefits and will be using use SNAP, indicate so on your sign up form. All payments will be in person using your EBT card at check out.
This season all SNAP memberships will be reduced to half price through a program called CSA is a SNAP. Payment is weekly at pickup, no up front payment necessary.
If you think you may qualify for SNAP benefits, apply HERE
Solidarity Shares
If you don’t qualify for SNAP but the price is too high, tell us what you can pay on the sign up form. We are able to offer this through solidarity donations from members. We suggest an initial payment to our members but can work with you on a lower prepayment. We’ll accept as little as $20 to hold your spot for the season, and you can pay as you are able for your share. Example reduced prices for our 2024 Winter Share are in the chart below.
CSA is a SNAP is made possible by our participation in the Hudson Valley CSA Coalition, facilitated by Glynwood, and supported by the Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Grant Program grant no. 2023-70415-41205 from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
